Mon 3/28th 7:30pm: Jane Campion's THE PIANO (1993) is the Oscar winning drama, for Holly Hunter and Anna Paquin (at age 11), as they and their piano make the long voyage to New Zealand after being sold into marriage with a frontiersman. Screens at The Hollywood Theatre, Portland. More info HERE.

Mon 3/28 8:30pm: “They were out for blood and rotten to the core. Now they’re back!" Just when you thought it was safe to eat a BLT sandwich, the terrible tomatoes return in a nutrition-free sequel that somehow manages to be even worse than the original! Mon 3/28th 9:05pm: One of the great psychedelic masterpieces of world animation, SON OF THE WHITE MARE (1981) is a swirling, color-mad maelstrom of mythic monsters and Scythian heroes, part-Nibelungenlied, part-Yellow Submarine. Screens at The Roxie Cinema, San Francisco. More info HERE.

Mon 3/28th 7pm: A female hair stylist who is seduced by the vampiric ghost of a former optometrist. Using supernatural contact lenses to control her mind, he gradually drains her life essence as she is forced to find new victims in GHOST EYES (1974), a rare classic from the legendary Hong Kong Shaw Brothers Studio. Mon 3/28th 7pm: Sanaa Lathan and Omar Epps make for one of the most iconic screen couples of the 2000s as the basketball-obsessed next-door neighbors who find love over flirtatious pickup games, fall apart under the strain of high-pressure college hoops and families, and drift in and out of each other’s lives as they pursue their twin aspirations of playing professionally. Tues 3/29th 5:05pm: A murder mystery as only Hitchcock can do it. A photographer (James Stewart) becomes an amateur sleuth. While coinfined to a wheelchair in his apartment, he thinks he's spied a murder from his living room window. Wonderfully shot and acted, and co-starring Grace Kelly and Thelma Ritter. Thurs 3/31st 7:30pm: Andrei Tarkovsky’s rejoinder to Kubrick’s 2001 is a stunning, visionary work in which the travel is not so much into outer but inner space – the cosmos of memory, consciousness and dreams. Thurs 3/31st 9:30pm: Elliot Gould, Susannah York and a particularly creepy Christopher Plummer star in the classic thriller THE SILENT PARTNER (1978) screening at The Kino Theater, Rotterdam for the first time since its premiere. More info HERE.

Until April 5th: Heavily cut and substantially re-shot, Peter Bogdanovich’s final theatrical feature was released in 2014 under the title ‘She’s Funny That Way’ quickly disappeared from view.
