Fri 9/17 11:30pm: Martin Scorsese directs Willem Dafoe, Barbara Hershey, and Harvey Keitel in this visually breathtaking adaptation of the acclaimed novel. A controversial epic was heavily protested upon release, but has endured as one of the filmmaker's most personal works. SUN 9/19 2:55PM: A fever dream space opera with an incredible cast and designs by Jean ‘Moebius’ Giraud and H.R. Giger that never came to pass, but its influence on the subsequent Hollywood sci-fi output was undeniable. JODOROWSKY’S DUNE (2013) is the brilliant doco on the doomed project, a must-watch for every genre fan and Dune enthusiast waiting for the 2021 version. At KINO ROTTERDAM. More info HERE.
