6/25 - 7/8: LE CERCLE ROUGE (1970 / New 4K Restoration) screens at FILM FORUM in New York City. Butchered in its initial theatrical run in the U.S (40 mins was removed), this is the complete, uncut version with its noirishly muted color cinematography more vivid than ever in an eye-popping 4K restoration. 6/25 - 6/27: It's INDIANA JONES WEEKEND at the LOFT CINEMA ARIZONA with the Classic Trilogy on the big screen from Friday to Sunday. More info HERE.
6/25 - 6/30: Pride Month continues at SYNDICATED SIDEWALK CINEMA Brooklyn NY with another selection of classic of LGBTQ cinema with BOUND (6/25) from the directors of The Matrix, the underrated TO WONG FOO (6/26), and the satirical comedy BUT I’M A CHEERLEADER (6/27) starring Natasha Leone. Fri 6/25 10pm: One of the great New York noir movies of the 70s THE FRENCH CONNECTION (1971) screens at THE PLAZA THEATER Atlanta. Still as gritty and compelling as ever. More info HERE.
Fri 6/25 Midnight: Bruce Campbell and Sam Raimi lean hard into the absurd in the third film in the Evil Dead series with ARMY OF DARKNESS (1993) screening at THE COOLIDGE CORNER THEATER. More info HERE.
